For 2026 we are taking on a new race. MUNCASTER LUCK. Taking place Sunday 15th March 2026. 12 noon start. Entry on the day. Cash only. £5 An historic race that was originally ran dating back to the 1980’s. When it started back up the route was slightly different. However, it’s just as rough now as it was back then. This is a proper fell race, tougher than you might think. Despite not venturing onto the high fells, the ground is rough and the navigation can be tricky in misty conditions. The Annual Elbra Xmas Run (2022).   Given the recent weather, and last years washout, we decided to be sensible and avoid the higher tops. We used the Lakes 4 Passes route as a base, adding in Stake Pass to make it 5 passes and take it over 20 mile (22.5 mile and shy of 8,000ft in total). We seemed to have struck a bit of luck with the weather and it was dry when we set off from Wasdale Head.
